Hello Everyone, just a quick update regarding the OFT Vs Foxtons Case.
We spoke with the OFT earlier this week regarding the preliminary hearing
held last month. The OFT confirmed that this had taken place but the exact
date for the High Court hearing had not yet been agreed although they are
hoping this will not be too far off. We will keep you updated as things
progress.
Separately, we have launched a fixed fee Legal Representation Service for
landlords under pressure from letting agents to pay renewal fees. This
service enables landlords to instruct us to represent them in their dealings
with letting agents asking for payment of tenancy renewal fees when our
landlord clients would rather wait until the final outcome of the pending
OFT Vs Foxtons case due to be heard in the High Court.
We have fixed the cost of our legal representation at £100 plus VAT to
ensure that the service is accessible to landlords wishing to be
professionally represented in this important issue. For more information
about instructing us to enter into communication with letting agents please
contact us by Clicking Here and please remember to include your telephone
number so that we can call you to discuss your options accordingly.
