A recent survey has suggested that 10% of tenants aged between 25 and 34 consider their landlords to be their friends.

The Alliance and Leicester report also revealed that 18 per cent would buy their landlord a gift if they felt that he or she had gone out of their way to be helpful.
Additionally, 21 per cent said that they regularly spend time chatting with their landlord.

The research reveals the changing relationship between landlords and their tenants and Alliance & Leicester is convinced that there are mutual benefits to being friendly.
